PE Assessment training in Lisbon a great success

A group of enthusiasts of excellence in project management has sought the secrets of the IPMA Project Excellence Model while preparing for possible assessments of applications submitted for the IPMA Global Project Excellence Award.

Participation in the training is not only an opportunity to join the group of potential award assessors but also to gain the ability to evaluate a project using the IPMA Project Excellence Model.

The training, organised by the local Portuguese IPMA association APOGEP, was attended by 18 people from 11 countries and led by experience PEB experts Pau Lian Staal-Ong and Peter Coesmans from The Netherlands.

What do our participants think about this training?

The assessor training for the Global Project Excellence Award has been an amazing experience. I’ve been through several trainings before and I was expecting a standard format: presentations followed by case studies. Instead, each of us and all of us have been literally on stage from the start till the end. The interactions have been so intense, stimulating and, in certain moment, so funny, that at the end of the three days you feel sad, because you would like that this learning by doing experience, with your new friends, continues. As an expected gift, you then realize that the IPMA training also taught you how easily cultural and background differences can be broken down, allowing the real self of each to show up with brightness.
