The International Project Management Association (IPMA) is a federation of 71 Member Associations that collaborate to promote competence in project, programme, and portfolio management across all sectors and engage stakeholders worldwide in advancing the discipline.

IPMA’s Council of Delegates met in Cavtat/Croatia last weekend.
32 IPMA Membership Associations representatives met to discuss, network and vote.
For the first time after the pandemic – the delegates met onsite.

During the CoD event, three Vice Presidents were elected: Ding Ronggui, China (current Vice President for Research), Jose E. Reyes Gonzales, Panama (current Vice President for MarComm & Events & Awards) and Vladimir Obradović, Serbia.

All new mandates will start officially on January 1st, 2023.

There were also IPMA Kids presentation, IPMA Awards, and IPMA Membership workshops held.

IPMA Chairman Dr Jesus Martinez-Almela highlights in the CoD Communique: We – the IPMA – believe in the concept of sustainability competences for a sustainable project society and then the IPMA Ecosystem because the value we create with our activities directly impacts sustainable development. To protect the health of our planet and our public health, it is crucial to integrate sustainability competences into our education and training systems. Education and training enable us to develop competences and acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to value our planet and protect it truly. This will help transition the world to a fairer project economy and project society”.
