Global Young Crew Workshop

The Global Young Crew Workshop is a three day event hosted by one of the many Young Crews around the globe.

The event aims to connect cutting edge trainers in the field of project management with students and young professionals from all areas united in their passion for Project Management. Interactive workshops, compelling keynotes and great networking events lie the basis for a workshop experience you can get hardly elsewhere.

Organized by different Young Crews, this event will always surprise you with a different venue each year. It gives you the opportunity to make a truly global experience meeting participants from all continents.

“Time to discover” is the theme chosen for the 11th edition of the Global Young Crew Workshop to be held in 2016 in Porto (Portugal). Click here to register for the Workshop.

Time to discover. Why? Because since the XIV century that the Portuguese set off in search of new ways, new routes, new territories … Now is our time to find out!

And because with the Project Management we still have much to discover, join us from 15th to 17th September 2016.

Because it will be:

  • Time to discover new ideas and trends
  • Time to discover what is to be a project manager in the XXI century
  • Time to discover new areas and markets
  • Time to discover new challenges of the profession
  • Time to discover new project managers, new aspirants and curious project managers, cultural and contextual differences of project management
  • Time to discover the city of Porto, its flavors, its customs and its charms
  • and…. as could not be otherwise, it will be fun time and sharing in each of these moments!”

Testimonials from previous editions

“The Global Young Crew Workshop is a unique opportunity to meet project managers from a wide range of cultures. The networking opportunities and the invaluable knowledge that we get, are with no doubt, something that I don’t want to lose in 2016.” Filipe Figueiredo, IPMA Young Crew Portugal

“GYCW events are excellent. You are able to improve your current skillset, both softskills as well as technical Projectmanagement skills. You will also have the opportunity to learn about and experiment with new developments in the Projectmanagement field. Apart from this, the GYCW is a great way to expand your (international) network and to discuss with and learn from peers from other countries. Last but not least: It’s fun! Be part of this unique gathering of Young Professionals, fast-track your career path and grow together with us!” Jeffry Turfboer, IPMA Young Crew Netherlands

“Well I am thinking about what you could say to someone who never attended the gycw. There is so much great stuff about it that you could point out for me the workshops brought me a whole lot of new insights, the possibility to practice my skills in a playful and funway. I left the workshop with motivation and whole group of new friends all over the world” Lucia Nievergelt, IPMA Young Crew Switzerland

“In Global Young Crew Workshop I have met a lot of great, like spirited, young project professionals. I have been able to develop myself professionally in inspiring atmospheres and locations. Additionally I have had lot of fun in the GYCWs. I know also about the eye of competence.” Juuso Kangas, IPMA Young Crew Finland

“For me probably to see all the other active YCrews. So sort of networking and exchanging good ideas/practices.” Hajnalka Zigmund, IPMA Young Crew Finland

“Good experience we had in Rotterdam with evening events in walking distance area, when people are free to leave and return in any time. However it was also exciting to go somewhere in organized manner during the final dinner. In the program of GYCW, I always expect to gain new knowledge, and for me, workshops with unusual topics and new techniques are most interesting. (…) I’m sure that GYCW in Porto will be great!” Vladimir, IPMA Young Crew Russia
