Baltic PM days

Organizer: Lithuanian project management association (LPVA)

Traditionally organized by the members of International Project Management Association in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, the Baltic PM Days has already become a central meeting point for project management professionals from the Baltic States. Through cooperation with several partners, the conference evolves into a joint meeting with colleagues not only from Baltic, but also from the Nordic and other European countries. Participants and speakers who are actively involved in project management, as well as experts in their subject with leading roles in organizations, are expected to join the conference this year. In addition to an exhaustive analysis of the topical questions in project management, last year, the conference program already featured professional foresight. This year, the conference takes a step forward and highlights the competences that are necessary to manage the continuous changes in our world as a focal point of the program.

The storm is coming. Are you prepared?

The project management environment today is highly turbulent, and the truth is, we cannot prevent the storm. Yet, we can manage it if we are competent and equipped with proper tools.

The Baltic PM Days 2017 will unlock a strategy for coping with the storm. This year, the whole conference agenda is dedicated to identifying major forces, which may affect projects and their management, evaluating potential threats and avoiding pitfalls, overcoming the negative forces, availing the positive flows, and finally, turning risks into opportunities. While acknowledging that individual competences required to effectively work on projects, programmes and portfolios are the main source of power when managing the storm, competent professionals are highlighted as one of the key conference pillars this year.

The conference emphasizes four main topics:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Business & IT transformation
  • Large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Changing status quo in the public sector

By unfolding main individual competence areas working with people, seeing perspective and everyday practice the Baltic PM Days 2017 will provide its participants with a solid toolkit and a survival pack to manage the storm.
